Raised in Pennsylvania, and graduated in 1954; from the University of Michigan with a degree in macro-economics. Served as an officer in the US Army of Occupation in Germany. Employed by Inland Steel for 29 years and served as a manufacturing plant manager in New Jersey, Cleveland, Chicago and New Orleans; Following retirement, relocated to Europe for five years (with my wife), living aboard our 70' canal boat - collectively 18 months in Holland, several months in Belgium, the remainder of the five year time frame in various locations throughout France - during which 18 months were moored in the center of Paris. An 11 year resident of Woodcreek with interests in computers, computer graphics, and preparing dinners from the French and Northern Italian cuisines. Past city councilmember in Woodcreek, TX and Clarendon Hills, IL Past president, Alsip Industrial Association, Alsip, IL. A partner in the marketing business, 2-H Marketing, and a member of the Men's Cooking Club of Wimberley since 2003. Jay has retired from the Cooking Club as of Dec. 31, 2010 |
